Program details

The Graduate Diploma in Legislative Drafting program is ideal for individuals early in their drafting career, those contemplating a drafting career, and all those involved in planning and writing laws, bylaws, regulations, instructions for legislation, and similar material.

The program consists of 5 courses, 4 of which are designed to be completed within a 6-month individualized-study course contract period. The final course is taken over 1 year. Students typically take between 2 to 5 years to complete the program.

The final course of the program (LGST 600) is an integrated capstone project that challenges you to bring your newly acquired skills and knowledge to bear on an original legislative drafting project.
