Program details

The Graduate Diploma in Architecture (GDA) is a 27-credit online graduate program. You must complete at least 21 credits through Athabasca University. The non-studio courses in this program also apply to the RAIC Syllabus Diploma.

Technical and professional practice courses are online individual study, allowing you to complete the coursework at your own pace. Design studio courses are online grouped study and include a weekly videoconference session. Note: RAIC Syllabus students must take their studios through the RAIC.

You can get your GDA in as little as 2 years of full-time study.

Internationally-trained students may register for courses within the GDA program as a non-program / unclassified student. Learn about the Canadian Architectural Certification Board (CACB) referral student process.
