Responsibilities

To manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Research Office by:

• providing resources and tools to support faculty and staff research pursuits
• helping negotiate research funding agreements and contracts
• helping researchers to carry out their research in compliance with Athabasca University policies and sponsor funding requirements
• assisting researchers in the effective stewardship of their research funding
• liaising with sponsors to ensure research funding requirements are met
• promoting research at AU
• helping prepare departmental reports for internal and external stakeholders
• helping develop the annual Research Office Business Plan and 3-year budget
• contributing to ongoing research planning and policy development
