Sample student e-Portfolios
Here are two examples of what a finished portfolio may look like. Each are shown in two formats – e-Portfolio (the standard submission format) and PDF (provided for ease of viewing only).
Both portfolios use extensive "tabbing" for organizational purposes. The numbers on the tabs refer to specific items of documentation and these items are cross-referenced in the portfolio. Good organization is necessary for easy assessor access to your work.
Program-based sample student e-Portfolio
- Program-based portfolios use program outcomes, rather than course outcomes, as the measure of your prior learning.
- Your mentor will advise you on whether you will prepare a program-based or course-based portfolio.
Course-based sample student e-Portfolio
- Course-based portfolios use course outcomes as a measure of your prior learning.
- Your mentor will advise you on which type of portfolio you will prepare.
Note: The e-Portfolio is a web-based portfolio building site. While our e-Portfolio's presentations may vary from that of other submission types (including other e-Portfolio platforms), all the parts contained within them are the same. Alternative submission routes (such as paper, PDF, and/or technology-enhanced) must be negotiated with your mentor.
