Program details

The University Certificate in Public Administration is a 30-credit online undergraduate program. You must complete at least 15 credits through Athabasca University. If you want to pursue employment in the federal civil service or foreign affairs, you should take French as your option. If you are interested in governance capacity-building for Indigenous communities, you should take Indigenous language courses.

All courses are individualized study, allowing you to complete the coursework at your own pace.

You can finish this program in as little as 1 year of full-time study or work at your own pace and take as long as you need. There is no time limit for completion.

With additional study, or credit for work experience, credit earned in this certificate program may be transferred into the Bachelor of Professional Arts in Governance, Law and Management program.
