Nichole joined Athabasca University in 2022 as an Academic Coordinator for the Faculty of Health Disciplines. Through Athabasca University, she obtained both her Bachelor of Nursing (Post LPN to BN) and a Master of Nursing (with a teaching focus). She has been in nursing since 2006 and has enjoyed working in a diverse range of nursing fields. She has presented, authored and co-authored research including topics related to nursing curricula, excellence in online teaching, arts-based teaching strategies, humanizing the online learning environment, and topics related to community nursing.

Nichole’s nurse educator practice is grounded in a caring and compassionate pedagogy which respects and acknowledges the diverse uniqueness of her learners. She enjoys co-creating meaningful learning spaces that are accessible, inclusive, and learner-centered.
