Amy joined Athabasca University in 2021 as a Clinical Instructor and added Individualized Study Tutor in 2022; recently transitioning into the role of Academic Coordinator. She has over 10 years of experience as a critical care nurse the Intensive Care and Cardiac Care environments, and her teaching interest was sparked when she took on the role of Clinical Nurse Educator for ICU, CCU, and Cardiac Clinic, in 2013.

An alumni of AU, completing the Master of Nursing program in 2020, Amy is sensitive to the unique needs of the online learning student community.  She strives to create an accessible, inclusive, and supportive learning space both online and in the clinical environment, encouraging learning and growth through experience and meaningful dialogue.
