Internet Safety Month
About Internet Safety Month
June is Internet Safety Month which is a great opportunity to review our online behavior and identify ways we can use the internet in safer ways. In 2021 the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force recommended the focus to be kids safety on the internet. More than ever before, kids are spending a lot of time online for education, entertainment and socialization. The Athabasca University Digital Security Awareness function aims to not only focus on creating awareness to secure the AU digital assets, but also extends beyond the university network to encourage good cybersecurity practices for the individual and the community. As such, we will be sharing some important tips for internet safety to help you support your families and loved ones to navigate the Internet securely.
Here are some of the areas of online interactions that we need to think about and learn how to protect the kids online.
