Application steps

Requirements

A student who wishes to take a few courses to begin a career in architecture, or to be considered for promotion, or are simply interested in the topic may register as a non-program student.

Students wishing to enrol in the graduate level architecture courses as a non-program student must hold a bachelor degree from a recognized post-secondary education institution. All persons applying for non-program status will be required to submit confirmation of successful completion of an undergraduate degree. Students are accepted into the non-program Graduate courses at the discretion of Athabasca University.

All materials for non-program student registration (including the application form and fees) must be completed in full and received one month prior to the course start date.


Limitations

Non-program students may take up to 2 Graduate in Architecture (GDA) courses in total.


Application steps

  1. Complete either the undergraduate or graduate Non-Program Application Form online.

    For graduate level courses, select the non-program  GDA status.
  2. If applying to the graduate level courses, submit the following:

    1. Transcript(s) of post-secondary education.

      Applicants other than graduates of Athabasca University must arrange for official transcripts of their undergraduate degree to be sent directly to:

      Canadian applicants submitting official documents (e.g., transcripts) in a language other than English must provide an official translation of such documents.
  3. Log into your myAU student portal and fill out the course registration form.
