Wendy Jewell

Wendy is an Undergraduate Student Support Advising Specialist in the Faculty of Science & Technology. She provides advice and guidance to prospective and existing students enrolled in courses and programs. She is a student advocate and strives to be a good listener and will provide direction when needed. She strives to promote a positive experience for students and prospective students with Athabasca University.

Wendy has been with Athabasca University since 1984 in various roles and a wealth of knowledge. She attended Alberta College, studied Northern Lakes College courses and completed Athabasca University courses, which enabled her to understand the challenges that students face in pursuing their education.

Wendy has always lived in the Athabasca Community. She volunteered to sit on the Athabasca Physician Recruitment & Retention Committee in the role of Secretary to the executive. She is the past Chair of the AUPE (Alberta Union of Provincial Employees), and an active Union Steward, which stands for approximately 295 support staff members.

Her personal interests are gardening and reading. Her favorite pass time is spending it with her grandchildren.
