I came to Canada from India almost 35 years ago and earned my MA and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Alberta. I have been tutoring and coordinating courses at Athabasca University for the last 15 years. I have had the opportunity of teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in a number of different countries and institutions, including Nottingham Trent University (UK), University of Guelph (Canada), and University of Vigo (Spain). Along with teaching and research in English literature, I have a deep interest in health equity and diversity research, particularly in the areas of gender and sexuality. I live in Calgary.
