I am an Associate Professor in the Anthropology Program at Athabasca University and a professional archaeologist. I address underrepresented topics in archaeology by studying lesser-known frontier regions and associated everyday lifeways through collaborative methods with local communities, generating knowledge that is open and accessible. I co-direct the Stann Creek Regional Archaeology Project (SCRAP) in Belize, the Old Bezanson Archaeology Project (OBAP) in Alberta, and the Finnish Canadian Homestead Project in Ontario. My teaching at AU takes place entirely online; as a result, I am particularly interested in technology-enabled learning in archaeological pedagogy, education, and outreach.
