Mark A. McCutcheon is Professor of Literary Studies at Athabasca University. Mark’s open access works include the books Shape Your Eyes by Shutting Them: Poems (2019) and The Medium Is the Monster: Canadian Adaptations of Frankenstein and the Discourse of Technology (2018), winner of the Media Ecology Association’s 2019 McLuhan Award. His latest publication is a co-authored review of The Expanse TV series for the open-access journal SFRA Review. His literary criticism and research also appear in journals like Studies in Canadian Literature (forthcoming 2022), English Studies in Canada (2012, 2015, 2016), and Digital Studies (2014-16); and his poetry, in journals like Carousel (2020), Grain (2018), and On Spec (2018), and in the anthology Beyond Earth’s Edge: The Poetry of Spaceflight (2020). Mark is on Twitter and Mixcloud as @sonicfiction.
