Mariya Melentyeva’s research focuses on history of nationalism and liberalism in Imperial Russia. She works on a monograph, Liberalism in the Russian Imperial Borderlands, 1870-1912, which explores the formation of the liberal mindset in the region. She published an article in Revolutionary Russia, which is titled “The Russian Liberals and the Ukrainian Question, 1905-1917.” She co-translated a book by Iulii Martov, “The World Bolshevism,” published by Athabasca University Press.
