Downloading your eText

Once you have created your VitalSource Account and downloaded the app, you will be ready to download your eText. The VitalSource Bookshelf icon will appear on your computer desktop or your device’s home screen.

  1. Click (or tap) the icon to open it.
  2. If prompted, sign in with the email and password you used to create your VitalSource Bookshelf account.
  3. Depending on the computer or device you are using, you may see a message that tells you that you have recently purchased a new book and asks if you want to download it. Click "Download".

If you do not see this message, click/tap "All Titles" and double click or tap on a title to download it.

Note: You must be connected to the Internet in order to download your eText. Once you have downloaded it, you will be able to read your eText offline.

You also have the option to listen to the book when it has been downloaded to your computer. Under the "Book" menu, click "Play/Pause Speaking."

Your highlights and notes are automatically synced between machines if you have installed Bookshelf on more than one computer or device. See Managing Machine (Device) Activation Limits.
