Online Leadership and Management Development (LMD) courses provide graduate level professional development opportunities in two ways: scheduled online courses for individuals, and custom-tailored solutions for organizations. Our leadership development courses focus on immediate workplace applicability, addressing specific management or leadership skill areas with curriculum adapted from Athabasca University’s (AU) highly successful online MBA for executives.
How courses work
All online leadership development courses are four weeks in length and are paced, meaning there are scheduled start and end dates, and assignment deadlines within each course. Courses are also asynchronous—meaning you are never required to be online at a particular time.

An organizational needs analysis allows our Leadership and Management Development team to recommend the appropriate online approach to address the unique development goals you have for your employees. Whether through our open enrollment online courses, a complete custom-tailored online program designed for your organization, or a co-branded online certificate program to complement your in-house training, our Leadership and Management Development team will build online professional development solutions for you.
All Leadership and Management Development online courses encourage participants to apply new theory to their day-to-day work issues, leading to immediate workplace impacts and high levels of knowledge retention.
Online Leadership course information
Leadership and Management Development (LMD) online courses are designed for managers and professionals with significant work experience who are poised for further leadership development.
Each LMD online course is $1,248 + $14 Graduate Student Association fee for a total of $1,262. The capstone course is $3,783 ($1,261 x 3-credits). Alumni (degree holders only) receive a 20% discount.
Course registration and fees
Generally registrations close 1 month prior to when an online course starts. However, in order to secure your spot in the online course and to plan your course scheduling, it is recommended that you register for all online courses necessary to earn a certificate of completion.
Leadership and Management Development course fees
Each Leadership and Management Development online course is $1,248 + $14 Graduate Student Association fee for a total of $1,262.
AU alumni (degree holders only) receive a 20% discount.
