Flexible, focused online business education
Athabasca University’s undergraduate programs and courses are the flexible way to start or continue your business education. As long as you remain an active student in your program by taking at least 1 course a year, you will have as long as you need to complete your program. It is the ideal way to pursue your post-secondary education and still have time for your family and career.
Undergraduate certificates
Our online business certificates can help you get a handle on management basics or specialize in a specific discipline. If you decide to pursue a full degree, the certificates may ladder into our Bachelor of Commerce or Bachelor of Management programs.
Direct entry into degree programs
You can start an AU business degree program in your first year, rather than completing 1 or 2 years of study first, as some universities require. If you already have significant management experience, you may be eligible to apply to our online Master of Business Administration for executives program.
Diploma to degree path
If you already have an approved business diploma, you may be eligible for the post-diploma path to your degree. This route gives you block credit toward your AU Bachelor of Commerce or Bachelor of Management. Finish your degree with fewer courses and less cost.

University Certificate in Accounting
An ideal starting point for those who want to develop the skills and knowledge of an accounting professional. Many of the courses cover areas of study required to pursue the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.
University Certificate in Advanced Accounting
This certificate builds on the knowledge gained in our online accounting certificate and covers more courses for those pursuing their CPA designation. Completing both certificates puts you well on your way to earning your online Bachelor of Commerce, Accounting Major.
