Sustainable Communities and the Lithium Industry – Literature Review
Overview
This project aims to assess the vision of local communities on the impact of the lithium industry on their development. Lithium as a resource and the industry are at the top of the economic and development agenda in the “Lithium Triangle” region, as demand for the mineral soars towards accomplishing a green transition and tackling climate change.
Qualitative data has been already collected and at this stage of the research, a deep understanding of the industry is required. Particularly important is to assess the current state of the industry in the region and the global demand for lithium, current legislation, mining projects, figures, key stakeholders, future projections, etc.
The work to be conducted by the selected RA (GRA 1 equivalent) is to conduct a deep literature review on the industry as described above. Meetings will be arranged to discuss details and appropriate support will be provided.
