Dr. Belassi has a doctoral degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Operations Management and Business Statistics from Cleveland State University, Cleveland, Ohio. He also has an M.Sc. in business administration with project management concentration and an MBA degree with finance concentration. Dr. Walid was awarded membership to Beta Gamma Sigma, a premier honour society that recognizes academic excellence.
Dr. Belassi has been teaching business administration for more than 35 years in Canada, the US, and several other countries worldwide. While Dr. Belassi specializes in teaching operations management, management science, and business statistics, he has also taught courses in finance, human resources management, marketing management, planning, and public administration.
In addition to his academic experience, Dr. Belassi has practical experience as a business analyst, consultant, and statistician. He has worked as Portfolio Strategist and Decision Maker at JPMorgan Chase (formerly Chase Manhattan Mortgage Corporation division) in Cleveland, OH, where he was the chief statistician for a $2.0 billion portfolio of manufactured housing. Walid also represents AU at the Canadian Operational Research Society (CORS).
