Sue Mitchell

Sue Mitchell brings more than 50 years of experience in academia, organizational practice, consulting, curriculum development, and management across the public and private sectors.

Since joining Athabasca University’s Faculty of Business in 1997, Sue has held multiple Academic Coordinator and Academic Expert roles and has taught Organizational Behaviour and Human Resources through AU’s partner institution, Lethbridge College. She currently serves as an Academic Expert and marker.

Since 2000, Sue has also worked with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada and the Southern Alberta Language Assessment Centre (SALAS) as a nationally certified Canadian Language Benchmarks Placement Test Assessor. She maintains certification in a range of English literacy and non-literacy assessment tools and has extensive experience supporting newcomers to Canada.
