In support of Athabasca University’s vision and mission, the University Relations Division works in close collaboration with academic and other administrative units to:
- generate the resources needed to support the university in its commitment to excellence in teaching, research and scholarship;
- build awareness of AU and enhance its reputation provincially, nationally and internationally;
- recruit a diverse student body;
- promote AU to corporate, non-profit and government sectors as a reliable provider of employee training and professional development services;
- develop strong relationships among students, alumni, AU team members, and external stakeholders and the public; and
- Contribute to the realization of the university’s vision, mission and goals, particularly as articulated in the Like No Other 2024-2029 strategic plan.
