Overview

This course allows students to pursue independent study under exceptional circumstances. It is designed for students who demonstrate a strong case and a detailed proposal for studying a subject area not offered in the MBA curriculum. This elective provides an opportunity to explore specialized topics under the guidance of a faculty supervisor. The independent study emphasizes self-directed learning and requires the student to undertake readings, research, and activities aligned with their objectives, career goals, or organizational needs.

Outline

The course consists of:

• Independent Reading: A curated reading list, selected in consultation with the supervisor.
• Research/Project Work: Completion of research or a practical project related to the proposed study.
• External Activities: Engagement in conferences, field visits, or consultancy projects relevant to the study.
• Weekly Reporting: Submission of structured weekly reports detailing progress and learnings.
• Written Assignments: One or two major assignments demonstrating depth of study.
