Whether you’ve been a student with Athabasca University (AU) for a while or are just starting your educational journey, you might not be aware of all the learner support services available to you.

Program and Course Advising
AU’s academic advisors and counsellors can provide advice on course and program selection, your overall academic journey, and your future career. Whether you need help starting your education and career planning or already have a clear idea of your educational goals, this team can help you get there.
Accessibility Services
Did you know AU has a team dedicated to supporting and fostering an inclusive and equitable environment? The Accessibility Services team works to make AU, its courses, and its programs accessible for students with disabilities, including arranging for appropriate accommodations in your courses.
Indigenous student support
AU is committed to fostering an inclusive an empowering environment for Indigenous students, and aims to create learning environments that reflect and honour Indigenous heritage and cultures. This includes Nukskahtowin, Indigenous Circle at AUSU, spaces for reflection at the AU campus in Athabasca, Alta., and a tuition decrease for Indigenous learners effective Sept. 1, 2024.
Mental Health and Wellness
Even though AU is fully online, it doesn’t mean you are alone. We recognize that there are times when you could use a little more help. Mental health and wellness resources are available and accessible 24/7 for all AU students, including many internal and external resources.
