Deputy provost joins AUSU podcast to discuss how exams are different at distance universities

How does an open, online university like Athabasca University offer exams to students spread across provinces, countries, and time zones? What is exam proctoring and how does it work? And how is assessment different compared to a brick-and-mortar university?

"We do offer more flexibility in terms of when assessments can be taken than a brick-and-mortar institution would," explained Dr. Anne-Marie Scott.

Scott, AU's outgoing deputy provost of academic operations, recently joined the Athabasca University Students' Union podcast, Open Mic. Scott talks about exams and assessments at AU, exam invigilation, ProctorU, and how students can set themselves up for success come exam time.
