Online event
Description:

In anticipation of the 2025 Graduate Student Research Conference, the Write Site's Sarah-Jean Watt will present on how to write an effective conference abstract. With the goal of helping students prepare to write their abstract for submission to the GSRC conference, this webinar will:

  1. describe what differentiates a conference abstract from a journal abstract,
  2. review and dissect the requirements of the GSRC call for submissions, and
  3. detail the steps of planning and drafting an abstract.

We will also examine previous successful abstracts from the conference to see what made them effective. Students will walk away with a checklist for writing their own conference abstract and with greater confidence that they can apply in their submission to the GSRC.
