Join Science Outreach – Athabasca for a free community event as we welcome Pirkko Karvonen, filmmaker and director to Athabasca University. Pirkko will introduce one of her favorite films “Strings Across the Sky”, a not-for-profit association destined to inspire a passion for learning through the art of fiddling. The documentary “Strings Across the Sky” by Pirkko Karvonen features Andrea Hansen—her life andwork with people in the Canadian Arctic, northern Ontario and northern Alberta. The film deals with Hansen’s method of teaching and how our body has a memory that we develop with practice.
