‘I never felt alone’ at AU, says grad and future teacher

Choosing Athabasca University was a game-changer for me. As a child and youth worker at a school board, I was hungry for growth but felt stuck. Then AU came along, offering flexibility that traditional universities couldn’t match.
Being a mom and wife, I needed a school that understood my crazy schedule. AU’s online courses let me study whenever I could squeeze in the time, without sacrificing family dinners or bedtime stories. I could keep working while upgrading my education, which was a huge relief!
The support from AU’s faculty and staff was incredible. Even though we were miles apart, I never felt alone. They were there whenever I needed help or advice, making the whole experience feel like a team effort.
Thanks to AU, I’ve been accepted into teacher’s college starting in September. It’s the next step in my journey, and I couldn’t be more excited. AU has given me the confidence and skills I need to succeed in this new chapter.
