Introducing a new way to access and share your Athabasca University transcripts
Students and alumni can now easily access and share their digital Athabasca University transcripts through MyCreds.ca
It’s getting easier for students and alumni to share their Athabasca University transcripts with other institutions and employers.
Effective May 25, 2023, students and alumni can view and share their digital transcripts through MyCreds.ca—a fast, secure, and reliable online platform.
“As Canada’s Open University we are excited to be joining MyCreds, Canada’s new, official credential wallet for post-secondary learners and graduates. We are pleased to offer this access to Athabasca University students, making it easier for them to share their digital transcripts in a secure environment,” said AU interim registrar Angela Kuzyk.
What is MyCreds.ca?
MyCreds.ca is a secure digital portal for accessing and sharing your post-secondary transcripts. It was created by the Association of Registrars of the Universities and Colleges of Canada (ARUCC), which AU is a member of.
This collaboration enables secure issuing, exchange, and verification of official digital documents from across Canada and around the world—so you can be confident your most up-to-date documents, badges, and credentials will get where you need them to go.
All data is securely stored in Canada, and MyCreds.ca is fully compliant with all relevant Canadian privacy legislation. Learn more about the ARUCC Privacy Policy.
Accessing your documents
To access your transcript, log in to the myAU student portal. In the “Student Record” section, click “Request transcripts” and follow the directions.
It will take 1 day to process the request, then you will receive an email from MyCreds.ca indicating that a document has been shared with you. You’ll be prompted to log in to MyCreds.ca, or to create an account if you haven’t done so already. Once you have created an account, you will be able to access your digital transcript. A $10 fee will apply, giving you unlimited access to share your transcripts for a 365-day period.
Within the MyCreds.ca platform, you will be able to share the document directly with institutions already operating within the MyCreds.ca platform, or share with institutions not operating in the platform by entering an email address for the recipient of your choosing.
You will still be able to see a free preview of your transcripts in the myAU student portal.
Who can I contact with questions about MyCreds.ca?
Details about how AU students and alumni should access their transcripts will be posted in the AU Undergraduate Calendar and the Academic Records website on May 25, 2023.
