Apply to undergraduate programs
We accept undergraduate applications throughout the year. If you want to experience learning the AU way and are self-funded, you can start immediately! There are no application deadlines for undergraduate programs. You can enrol in a program to earn a degree, diploma, or certificate or take individual courses as an open studies student—the choice is yours.
You won't need to pay another application fee if you change your mind later.
Enrolling in an undergraduate program
All undergraduate programs have continuous enrolment – you can start registering for courses as soon as you complete your online application. You have the option to enrol in a program to earn a degree, diploma, or certificate. Alternatively, you can take individual courses as an open studies student. The decision is yours.
Most undergraduate programs are open admission with no specific admission requirements, but some have specific entry requirements. Visit our programs page to find out what's needed for your program of interest.

Taking undergraduate courses as an open studies student
Open studies students take courses without registering for a degree, diploma, or certificate program. If you choose to register for an AU program later, you can apply the credits you earned as an open studies student toward your future program, as long as those credits meet the program requirements you wish to enter.
How to enrol as a non-program student
- Fill out the Undergraduate General Application, and enrol as a non-program student.
- Pay the one-time general application fee.
- Write down your AU student ID number at the end of the application process. Your ID number will also appear on your printed or emailed receipt if you choose one of those options.
- You are now ready to register for AU undergraduate courses as a non-program student.
Undergraduate students enrolled at another school
