PowerED by Athabasca University partners with Tacit Edge to deliver product management certification programs

New certifications teach fundamentals of how great products are made, help students succeed the tech sector

Athabasca, Alberta (May 16, 2024)—PowerED™ by Athabasca University (AU) has partnered with Tacit Edge to offer two new product management certification programs. These first-of -their kind, hands-on programs are designed to equip individuals with the skills and knowledge to excel in the technology industry.

Product Management Trained (PdM-T) and Product Management Professional (PdM-P) teach participants about the fundamentals of how great products are made and how to bring a product mindset to your organization.

Key program features

Courses are self-paced with optional weekly one-hour drop-in coaching sessions with industry experts. Each certification takes seven weeks to complete and gives participants access to a full library of content that includes all the lessons they need to become a product leader.

The certifications are designed by product coaches, who help learners grow their career. They also provide individualized career supports and access to a supportive community. Programs are industry-tested, validated, and replicates real-world product development in a safe online environment.

Product Management Trained (PdM-T) covers product management practices end to end, including product and user discovery, product visioning, strategy, prototyping, launch, and optimization. No experience with product management is required.

Product Management Professional (PdM-P) empowers individuals looking to develop the leadership skills necessary to lead a team or drive their team to the next level. Participants will have the opportunity experiment and learn rapidly, realize their full potential, and deliver incredible products, all while ensuring their products are valuable, viable, usable, feasible, and moral.
