Political Science (POLI) 350

Overview

Political Science 350: Women in Canadian Politics, is designed to introduce you to the study of women's participation in Canadian political life. As you work through the course, you will become familiar with a set of concepts, facts, and theories developed from a woman-centred point of view. You will be introduced to women's movement in Canada and you will explore issuesof representation in democracy and its impact on public policy issues.

To receive credit for POLI 350, you must achieve a course composite grade of at least D (50 percent) on the following:

Materials

This course either does not have a course package or the textbooks are open-source material and available to students at no cost. This course has a Course Administration and Technology Fee, but students are not charged the Course Materials Fee.

Challenge for credit

Overview

The challenge for credit process allows you to demonstrate that you have acquired a command of the general subject matter, knowledge, intellectual and/or other skills that would normally be found in a university-level course.

Evaluation

To receive credit for the POLI 350 challenge registration, you must achieve a grade of at least D (50 percent) on the examination.
